Microsoft word 2000 not responding
I had installed Windows Vista Home Premium and Microsoft Office 2000 on to my system. While opening any word document my MS Word does not respond. But, other application of Microsoft Office such as PowerPoint, Excel, and FrontPage etc. works fine. My problem arises whenever I want to open a word document or open MS Word application. I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office but cannot resolve my issues. Also I attempted to fix the problem by using detect and repair function but was not able to resolve it. Please help me in resolving my issues as I use MS-Word more often to carry out my various activities on it.

Follow the instructions given below in resolving issues related to your registry which helps in restoring your system if you had deleted some files earlier which were useful in running some applications:
1. Click on start
2. Go to Run
3. Type regedit
4. Click OK
5. For word 2000 type this \\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Word\Data
6. Find the folder named Data
7. Right click on Data
8. Select delete
9. Now, close the registry
10. Now try opening your Word application

Try uninstalling your Microsoft Live Add-in following the instructions given below:
1. Click on start
2. Go to Control Panel
3. Go to Programs and Features
4. Check for your installed Microsoft Add-in
5. Right on it
6. Click on uninstall

Now, when you try to open the Microsoft word application it will ask you to activate the program. This will run a file named “OfficeLiveSignIn.exe” which stuck your Microsoft Office application. Uninstalling your Add-In is used to be get away from that file.

If the above suggestion does not worked out for you then try to find the file named “OfficeLiveSignIn.exe” by simply using search program from the start menu. When you will find that file just manually you have to delete it. Now try rebooting your system and I hope your problem is been resolved now. This should not create any error further while you are running your Microsoft Word 2000 application.
