External HDD: VMware Fusion 3.1.2 freezing while working with Autodesk 123D

VMware Fusion 3.1.2 freezing while working with Autodesk 123D
Hello I have recently installed the latest beta version Autodesk 123D and this will work with the version windows operating system. To run Autodesk 123D we need to have Direct3D support and I have installed the Direct3D as well. Recently when I run this software on windows XP virtual machine VMware Fusion 3.1.2 start freezing and Mac OS X as well. Here are full details of my system with hardware:

* Using AutoDesk 123D (32-bit) in a Windows XP with latest update
* Windows XP running in virtual machine on MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo using VMware Fusion 3.1.2
* Virtual machine allocated 2 CPUs and 2 GB of RAM. 3D acceleration is turned on

Hello even I have got the same issue with my system as well. To solve this issue I have tried to decrease the settings of virtual GPU driver but when I start the Autodesk 123D I have got the error message saying that:” insufficient graphics support and won't start” and when I try to increase the setting, VMware Fusion 3.1.2 will start freezing. I have also tried to disable the 3D acceleration and I found there mine VMware Fusion not freezing all the time.

Recently VMware released the new and latest version of VMware Fusion 3.1.3 and this will compatible with Autodesk 123D beta 4.1. so I would like to suggest you to make install the latest version of VMware Fusion and after that make sure your getting the freezing issue or not.

Hello I have VMware Fusion 4 with Autodesk 123D beta 4 and I am able to pan, zoom, rotate the view and change view mode without any issue and mine VMware Fusion 4 not freezing at all. I think your using the old VMware Fusion on your system and so therefore you’re getting this issue. So I would like to suggest you to install the latest version of VMware Fusion 4 and after that your issue will get solved. I hope this help you..
