I have also installed the VMware Fusion and this running on the single window. I have total 4GB RAM and 2GB assigned for virtual machine. I have got the below error with BSOD:

First of all make sure all this and after that let me know the issue. DO you have enabled the 3D acceleration and are you running any Direct3D applications. I also need to know what application your running while using the VM and along with this do you have noticed any delay and system becoming unresponsive before getting the BSOD.

Hello thanks for the replies and I have enabled the 3D acceleration and I am using the Eclipse, Outlook, and Firefox. I am using the Eclipse with fullsreen mode and I am using this application most of the time. I have also using the Java 1.6.0_03-b05. Here are some more BSOD log entries:

Ok go through this steps: First try to disable the 3D acceleration for this VM. Secondly I think when graphics rendering delays, so you might getting this issue. So you should make sure this and after that let me know the issue.

GDI uses a watchdog timer to monitor that spent executing in the display driver. The watchdog set the time threshold, if thread use much time in a display driver than the threshold specify. This will recover by the VGA graphics mode and while doing this fails then you will get this error message. If your using the software emulation for the rendering that a display adapter, you need to increase the watchdog time threshold otherwise you will continue to get the error message.

If above steps not working then I would like to suggest you to make Disabling the Watchdog Timer and to define watchdog time threshold for display drivers, you need to create the following REG_DWORD entry in the registry:.
Quote:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Watchdog\Display\BreakPointDelay
Now here set the value for BreakPointDelay in watchdog time in 10-second units.
If you want to stop the watchdog timer from generating a bug check. You need to go through the below steps: first you should create the REG_DWORD entry in the registry, and set its value to 1:
Quote:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Watchdog\Display\DisableBugCheck

Try to disable the 'hardware acceleration' on your system and after that you’re able to solve this issue. To do this you need to go through the below steps: first make click on the start and after that click on the control panel. Now on the control panel make double click on the appearance and theme. Nowhere make click on the display program. Now on the display windows go to the setting tab and under that click on the advance button. On advance setting click Troubleshoot tab and under that Move the Hardware Acceleration slider to none and then make check mark on the clear the Enable Write Combining check box, once you done and then save the settings.

I have got the same issue and I have Disable or update device drivers and after that I have solved mine issue. So first of all make sure the Microsoft Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) PCI devices in the computer are compatible with Windows XP, Second updated the video adapter drivers to the latest versions. If you get the same issue after installing the latest version then disable or remove that driver and after that again clean install the driver.
