You can create a sales report in Excel manually and use Pivot Table to see the data. The pivot table allows you to view your source data in different ways to combine them or have them evaluate it. Due to the free positioning of the rows and columns in a Pivot Table differing views and analysis are given. Your source data is not changed.

It is right. Pivot table can help you for the same. You can use it for creating sales report and it will b much more helpful. A PivotChart report graphically represents the data in a PivotTable report (PivotTable report: An interactive Excel report cross tabs that summarizes and analyzes data, such as records in a database from various sources, including those that are external to Excel.). You can change the layout and data displayed in a PivotChart report just as in a PivotTable report.
