Re: Avast AVG antivirus protection could not turn on
As you had installed both the malware protection i.e. Windows Defender and Avast AVG antivirus you would need to run only one of them at a time. As it can create problem or conflicts between the two malware been used. It is ok to install more than one but only one should be active. Following are the instructions you need to follow to repair your Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI):
1. Click on start
2. Go to accessories
3. Select Command prompt
4. Run as administrator
5. Type winmgmt/verifyrepository
6. You get a message saying WMI repository is not consistent
7. Now you need to type winmgmt/salvagerepository
8. Press enter
9. Try step 7 and 8 more than one time
10. Now reboot your system

Try to download new version of AVG antivirus it might be the case your download file is corrupted. And when you had installed it your AVG is corrupted and then it is getting corrupted. For this purpose you need to download the appropriate software from the vendor’s website. Download it by using some torrents as it will help in downloading in uncorrupted file. Now you need to uninstall the previous AVG which you had installed before. Install it and I guess your system will run file and security is maintained.
