External HDD: HP pavilion dv5 1199ef driver for Windows 7

HP pavilion dv5 1199ef driver for Windows 7
Hello,

I just downloaded the trial version of Windows 7, everything works fine, however, I can not find drivers for the touch-sensitive buttons and the fingerprint reader.

I have an HP Pavilion dv5 1199ef. Someone would have there a solution?

Hi,

Think of trying to install Vista driver related. It works for some devices. I have also installed the windows vista drivers for windows 7 on my acer laptop. Its working for me. If HP doesn't provides driver for windows 7 then you don't have any other option than using windows vista drivers for your laptop.

I tried with the vista drivers but this does not work.

I wanted to let the software update driver hp do, but I have a message saying that the operating system is not supported.

But i really want to work with windows 7, does anyone have HP Pavilion dv5 1199ef with Windows 7? please give some idea to make it work.

You have another option by using the software like driver scan which scan your system for recommended drivers and then downloads those drivers for you, but most of them are not available for free. Anyways the above links gives the drivers which you required. If you are using Windows 7 64bit then go to HP software and drivers download section and select you model you'll get the drivers for 64-bit also. You didn't checked the HP site correctly.

Hi guys,
Well I've Installed Windows7 on my HP dv51221tx laptop, The HP mediasmart TV isn't functioning I've made a clean install no vista drivers ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Seems hp mediasmart got some conflict while reinstalling the system as it is not included in the OS but its built-in with the laptop. Hence what i can suggest you is simply Download HP Mediasmart Software from here and install it again. It should work.
