I saw the optical audio out when I set up the apple tv, on the other hand for those with an old preamp and there is no optical input. Well to solve this issue you have to first check whether the audio signal is coming out from the computer that is from the speakers. Now you have to connect a stereo mini jack earphone output to the system and then end the same to the auxiliary RCA inputs. Later on go on selecting the auxiliary channel since the input is on the receivers end make sure that the speakers are connected and the sound is coming from them and also keep in mind that the system is connected to internet.
